JASON FISCHER
Community Engagement Manager
Jason joined the Volunteer Center staff in June 2009. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He previously worked in the hotel industry before returning to school to complete his Bachelor’s Degree. Jason’s volunteer experience includes Boys and Girls Club, Salvation Army, Alzheimer’s Association, Legal Aid Society of Lubbock, Innocence Project of Texas, and many others.
His role within the Volunteer Center is to manage Community Engagement which consists of adult volunteerism, child/youth volunteerism, leadership development,
and partnerships. He also supports the Volunteer Center’s basic operations including
finance, information technology, and human resources.
Besides most anything technology related, Jason enjoys cooking, the West Texas
weather, serving communities, and all of life’s adventures.
