Computer Work/Office Work

The Bridge of Lubbock

Our mission is to restore hope, body, soul, & spirit to the community of East

Lubbock. Youth are able to assist with office duties Monday through Friday.

Youth are also invited to help out in the soup kitchen Monday, Wednesday and

Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

CASA of the South Plains

CASA’s mission is to provide trained, court-appointed volunteers who

investigate, monitor, & serve as advocates in court for abused/neglected

children’s best interests. Youth can participate in the Junior Friends of CASA

program by helping abused children through fundraising events and a Youth

Advisory Program. Youth are welcome to aid in basic office work.

Catholic Family Service, Inc.

Mission is to provide individual, marital & family counseling, natural family planning,

& HIV/AIDS education/prevention programs. Assistance is needed in the

organization’s pantry as well as basic office work.

Children’s Advocacy Center of the South Plains, Inc.

To bring together community resources to speed the healing of child victims of

abuse & trauma. Youth are needed to assist with new teddy bear drives and

fundraising events such as the CAC Bike Ride and a gingerbread house

building competition. Help is also needed with stuffing envelopes.

Children’s Connections, Inc.

Provides information & resources for adoptive and birth parents; parenting & childcare

educational materials; and quality improvement programs for childcare providers. Help with

general office duties, clerical assistance, running copies, putting packets together, and Web

searches are needed.

Christian Women’s Job Corps

Assists women in need, with life & job skills in a Christian environment, who

want to change their lives & break the cycle of poverty. Teens are needed to

assist with light office work and building maintenance.

Covenant Health System Foundation

Covenant Health System Foundation is a Non-profit C-3 Corporation that supports

Covenant Health System. Teens may assist the foundation by helping to distribute

newsletters, file paperwork, and complete light office work.

Family Guidance and Outreach Center

Provides programs to caregivers to give tools to help them meet the demands of

parenting. Our mission is the prevention of child abuse through mentoring, educating,

& supporting parents/caregivers. Work with SBS, Connection Kids, health fairs,

mentor at New Directions (school for pregnant teens), & office work.

High Plains Epilepsy Association

Provides services to individuals with epilepsy through medical assistance, counseling,

transportation, public education, information & referral. Teens 15 and up can help

answer the phone and assist in general office duties.

Hospice of Lubbock

We provide end-of-life care to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of people with

terminal illnesses. Volunteers can help with office work, or the Thrift Shoppe. Help is also needed

with special projects such as, Kids' Grief Recovery Camp, Kids' Christmas Party, or Mayors'

Beans and Cornbread Luncheon.

Lubbock Boys and Girls Club

Working to help youth of all backgrounds, with special concern for those of

disadvantaged circumstances develop the qualities needed to become responsible

citizens and leaders. Participate in a junior staff volunteer program. Check children in,

answer phones, and be an assistant counselor.

Lubbock Children’s Health Clinic

Provides quality, low cost, comprehensive primary health care to medically indigent

children of Lubbock without regard to race, sex, national origin or parent ability to

pay. Youth will be able to help with painting, clerical work, and special events.

Lubbock Habitat for Humanity

Builds homes & sells them to approved, very low-income families at no profit &

finances a no-interest loan for that family. Teens can help with on-site jobs such as

landscaping, painting and clean-up. Help is also needed with light office work and at

the construction store.

Lubbock United Neighborhood Association, Inc.

LUNA serves as an advocate for the development of self-sustaining neighborhood

associations by providing structure, education, and connecting resources for citizens

of the Lubbock community. Youth ages 15 and up are needed for light office work.

Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Texas Plains

We grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich

the human experience with hope, strength and joy. We are looking for help from

student leaders to do fundraising in their schools with our Kids for Wish Kids

program.

The Parenting Cottage

Strengthening families through parenting education, utilizing parents as teachers

with in home visitation, parent/child groups, car-seat education, neighborhood

mentors, and fetal alcohol syndrome disorder program. Volunteer needs include

computer programming, maintenance, check-ups, mowing and cleanup of a small

yard.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure

Strives to educate about breast cancer by advancing research, education, screening,

and treatment. Youth volunteers needed at events such as Race for the Cure, Swing

for the Cure, and other affiliate events throughout the year. Office help and

material distribution are other areas where youth volunteers may be of assistance.

Our mission is to connect people to volunteer needs and empower nonprofit

organizations. Youth volunteers needed to help plan events and promote
