Virginia Dorton joined the Volunteer Center staff in early September 2006. Virginia brings with her a wide range of experience in administration, office management, human resources, sales, marketing, and event planning. She is an active community volunteer through the Junior League of Lubbock and Westminster Presbyterian Church. Virginia has been married to her husband, Louis, for way too long, and they have two outrageously cute and exceptionally intelligent and talented children, Susannah and Jake. The four-legged family members are a sweet brown dog named Amber and an impossibly self-centered cat named Tootie. The Dortons stay active with the kids’ school and sporting activities, and they are all rabid Texas Tech sports fans, who try to attend as many home and away sporting events as possible.
