classical dance and community performances
that provide an understanding and
appreciation of dance as a performing art
to all audiences. Volunteer

A group of volunteer citizens in
Lubbock that cooperate with the city government
and the community to enhance &
beautify the environment. Volunteers needed to

Family Counseling Services
Provides high-quality, low-cost
counseling services to Lubbock & the surrounding
communities. We have opportunities to
help provide office support to the
organization. This is an excellent

Family Promise of Lubbock, Inc.
Provides homeless families with children the
tools necessary to achieve long term
financial, parental and personal
self-sufficiency through a program of temporary
housing, case management and supportive
services. Volunteers can mentor young
children and youth who are experiencing
temporary homelessness or help with
administrative, fundraising and special event
opportunities.

Hospice of
Lubbock
We provide end-of-life care to meet the
physical, emotional and spiritual needs of people with
terminal illnesses. Volunteers can help
with office work, or the Thrift Shoppe. Help is also needed
with special projects such as, Kids' Grief
Recovery Camp, Kids' Christmas Party, or Mayors'
Beans and Cornbread Luncheon.

Humane Society of West Texas
Active in the
rescue and fostering of homeless, abused, neglected, and "down on
their luck" dogs
and cats.

Foundation of the Texas Plains
We grant the wishes of children with
life-threatening medical conditions to enrich
the human experience with hope,
strength and joy. We are looking for help from
student leaders to do fundraising in
their schools with our Kids for Wish Kids
program.

Methodist Children’s Home of Lubbock
Provides voluntary foster care for children
needing temporary care due to social,
emotional, or physical disruption in their
biological family. Children birth to 10 years
accepted for placement. Volunteers are needed
to donate school supplies and help
with Christmas gift-wrapping and Christmas
gift drives.

A humanitarian resource responsible
for securing, growing, processing, and
distributing food to charitable
organizations and persons in need. South Plains
Food Bank also strives to provide
opportunities for people to break out of the
poverty cycle. Monday-Friday
warehouse work, making food boxes, sorting
donations and repackaging food items.
