Youth Advisory Board
What is the Youth Advisory Board?
The Volunteer Center Youth Advisory Board provides opportunities for young
people to become proficient in the ethics and mechanics of board service.
YAB will help to train young people in the areas of trusteeship, governance,
community service, and organizational leadership in order to develop lifelong
habits of giving and service.
What does the Youth Advisory Board do?
How can
I participate?
You must meet the following requirements to participate: enrolled in grades
9 through 12, meet with staff from the Volunteer Center, and attend at least
75% of meetings.
Meetings begin in September and are held one Thursday night a month at 6:00 p.m.
