Each year, when March rolls around, life seems to take a turn. The newness of the new year is behind us – our resolutions to lose weight or begin again have become hard, unexciting, or have stopped altogether. Outside, spring is beginning to make an appearance, but the skies can still be gray and the grass hasn’t transitioned to its trademark vibrant green from new growth.
Yes, March can be mundane.
But, it doesn’t have to be! Here at the Volunteer Center, we are in the business of community engagement. Every day, we strive to reinvigorate passion by helping individuals, family, youth, organizations, and business partners find their purpose and act on it. Honestly, it’s a pretty great place to be every day.
We invite you to “March On” with us to something new, revisit an old passion or investigate a new interest.
- Listen to the ideas and feelings that have been placed on your heart – and March On!
- Reflect on areas you would like to develop personally – and March On!
- Recharge with new skills or a way to serve your workplace – and March On!
- Find a place to volunteer that yearns for someone with your exact talents, skills and heart – and March On!
Join us as we walk alongside you to “March On” to something new. Something great. Something that matters. We are here waiting to help you find or restart a path towards finding your purpose and acting on it. Volunteer opportunities and upcoming workshops are posted on our website. Pick up the phone and visit with us about finding your best volunteer match. Plan to attend one of our upcoming events to celebrate our community and fellowship with others in a meaningful way.
Don’t miss out on something that could be great just because it could also be difficult. March On to passion, to joy, to challenge, to development, to purpose.
“March on, Do not tarry. Tog o forward is to move towards perfection. March on, and fear not the thorns, or the sharp stones in life’s path.” -Khalil Gibran
