Sabine invests her time and energy at the Volunteer Center into building and developing the next generation of community leaders for the South Plains. This includes researching, planning, leading and recruiting for leadership programs, workshops, and consultations for both nonprofit and for-profit businesses, teams, and individuals. She also leads in the planning, development, and implementation of our annual Service and Leadership Symposium. In addition, she oversees all of the Volunteer Center’s youth and family programs. adult volunteerism programs, and partnership programs. Sabine’s phenomenal work as a fellow for the Center led to her coming on as full-time staff not long after she started. She also has previous experience developing (very) young people at Central Faith Child Development Center.
Sabine is originally from Waco, TX and moved to Lubbock in 2011 to become a Red Raider (Wreck ‘Em!). She graduated from Texas Tech University in May 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and her Master of Arts in Mass Communications in December of 2015. Her community involvement experiences outside of work include volunteering with Make-A-Wish Foundation, Relay for Life, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lubbock.
Sabine does everything she can to get the most out of the adventure of life by spending time with her friends and family, cooking, reading, and traveling whenever and wherever she can.
